by: Michael Walker

Formula One Racing is, quite simply, the paramount of karting. It is the professional form of the sport in its entirety. Formula One is an international phenomenon, a media conglomerate that rakes in millions and millions of dollars a year from advertising, sponsorship, and broadcast revenues. Professional drivers with millionaire bank accounts race these majestic kart marvels that are unprecedented, flush with technological luxuries – everything from hard to produce lightweight frames that glide the machine to tires with unsurpassed grooving style that exemplify powerful movement on the circuit.

There is no sport that bests epitomizes the term “global sport” like Formula One racing. Many countries serve as active participants in shaping the professional karting scene – for example, Malaysia is a hot spot for racing (Fernando Alonso, a Spanish-born driver under Team Renault recently won a race there) and Italy plays a vital role in designing and manufacturing first class, top-of-the-line karts. Drivers and racing personalities hail from all parts of the word – you have the charismatic and popular Italian Renault boss Flavio Briatore, the handsome young 23 year old racing prodigy in Fernando Alonso who stars in a Renault Megane commercial with his pet pig, and one of the highest earning sports figures in world history in Michael Schumacher. Rivalries are common in Formula One – adding the edge of excitement with every zip of the curve and nitrous boost of the machine.

In order to better become acquainted with Formula One racing, we must understand its organization. Karting goes way beyond pitting 3 2-cycle engine machines against each other on an oval circuit. Formula One is divided into drivers & their respective teams. Under such trademark car companies like Renault, Ferrari, and Toyota – each driver has an assembling cast of staffers consisting of mechanics, engineers, and designers all working towards one goal: to make that speedster faster using all the resources at their disposal. Headed by team bosses that are adept at creating sponsorship opportunities and assembling the best cast for each team, Formula One employs the finest specialists in the business with backgrounds in computer and automobile – even specialists with aerospace experience! High end, (rare technology reserved for space projects) in some instances, create the fastest and most efficient car possible. According to FI rules, racing teams must design, construct, and built their own karts from scratch. The staff is the pride of each individual team – capable and able to win every 57 lap enduro race from Malaysia to Great Britain.

Formula One cars can be summed up in two words: technological marvels. These sleek, low riding gems ripping through laps at speeds topping 200 mph. consist of more than just a chassis, an engine, and four wheels. For starters, the engine is located behind the cockpit as opposed to standard automobiles. They consist of 10 cylinder engines that produce heat which propel the kart forward. Team engineers are always looking into ways to make their engines more powerful. Currently, 1000 bhp (a scale for horsepower) has not been topped – it is up to the teams to produce an engine which would fare well supporting speed as well as support the chassis. And as we know, there is a snug open cockpit for Jarno Trulli to maneuver his machine in.

Construction of Formula One race cars is unprecedented. The first rule of thumb in designing a bonafide piece of framework is to make it weigh as least as possible. Less kart weight correlates to faster speeds. For this reason, team brains use lightweight material that is hard to construct. The minimum weight of a kart must be 600 kg including the driver. This ensures a level playing field, although teams are allowed to keep their money making construction methods a secret from other teams. Team staff is very highly regarded in the Formula One business. Their technological and dynamical know-how of the machines they build is a valuable asset to any team. And like free agents, they are lured and signed by the likes of companies creating a recruiting war for their services. Of course, there are restrictions for creating karts. You cannot add nitro boosts to your machine or use technology that resembles life in the year 3000. Teams are always looking to bend the rules slightly and coming up ways to beat the competition legally.

Professional kart tires have to have optimum characteristics to ensure smooth driving. For one, tires have to have grooving technology built into them. For the novices, grooves are indented lines in tires that allow for it to slow down considerably on turns and to adapt to the track surface. No matter what the technology, kart tires are simply not adept at withstanding the rigors of asphalt, concrete, and dirt. For this reason, Formula One racers are allotted two pit stops during the course of a 57 lap race to change tires. If you’ve ever watched a Formula One race, team staffers with lightning quick hands have an extremely limited time for which to remove and replace tires in the pit stop – often times not exceeding over 7 seconds! Regulations are placed on tire grooves (a minimum of four) to allow for an even playing field for all racers. Remember enthusiasts, grooves serve more to slow down the kart than to speed it up.

Chassis construction with its illustrious carbon fiber material, tires with indented grooves, team specialists with a knack for speed, and engines which burn heat like calories is the epitome of a Formula One race car. All of these attributes contribute to the performance of the vehicle in racing lap after lap. As a result of all this technology, Formula One cars leave people breathless reaching consistent speeds of 200 mph. on the race track. More impressive is the time needed to go from 0 mph to 100 mph – 5 seconds! Formula One is only moving forward with the advent of new features - like improved horsepower engines, more lightweight materials, new ballasts to add weight to the car, and more. Behind that stylish, mind blowing chassis that pique our interest is that top-class technology that makes Formula One racing so great.

The began in 1948, June 8th to be exact. That is when the first two seater 356 was produced. There were 51 hand built Porsche 356/2 automobiles built in Austria. This model had a 40 hp 1.1 liter center engine.

The Porsche 911 rear engine automobile was introduced in 1963. It has been one of the biggest selling sports cars in the world. Over one million have been sold.

Porsche has a new offering for the sports car enthusiast in 2006. Positioned between the Boxster S and 911 Carrera, and marketed as an alternative to the BMW Z4 and the Mercedes SLK, the Cayman S is to start appearing in showrooms in January 2006 and will carry a price tag of $58,900.00. Porsche is only offering this hot-rod Cayman S and will not say when they will offer an entry level model.

The Cayman S is a two seater modified version of the Boxster convertible. The Cayman has a 295 hp 3.4 liter six cylinder mid-engine that goes from 0-60 mph in an impressive 5.1 seconds. Similar to the Boxster S, the Cayman S has a precise six speed manual gearbox with a double inertia flywheel and hydraulic clutch and power rear wheels. The Porsche Active Suspension Management is an electronic damping control system that is an option on the Cayman S. Switched on this system assures a smooth ride and it improves stability and grip for sharper steering responses.

Inside the Cayman S offers an on-board computer system with continuous indication of mileage, time and speed, automatic climate control, digital radio with in dash CD and a 7 speaker Bose Surround Sound System.

Porsche expects the new Cayman S to attract the upwardly mobile market. The company expects that Cayman buyers will be customers moving up from the Porsche Boxster.

by: Jay Moncliff

There are many people out there who want to buy a used car. Why don’t they just buy a new car? The answer is simple. Many people simply can’t afford to buy a new car, so they must buy a used car. But before you go out to buy a used car, there are some things you should take into consideration.

First off, when you buy a new car you are the only owner of the car. This means you know where the car has been and you know it is in tip top condition. You also get a warranty on the car. But when you buy a used car, you have no idea where the car has been or what on earth has happened to it. The car could’ve been in a terrible accident for all you know. Also, when you buy a used car, you probably won’t get a warranty… unless if you buy a used car at a reputable dealership.

It is safer to buy a used car from a dealership, not from a newspaper ad. You also need to make sure you buy a used car from a reputable dealership. Some used car dealers are just plain sleezeballs. To be even safer, make sure when you buy a used car that the vehicle is Carfax certified. If the dealer won’t provide you with this information, then there is probably a problem with the vehicle in question. Carfax is a free service that provides you information on a cars damage history, if any. You can check the Carfax report online for free, you just need the vehicles VIN number (vehicle identification number). Also, if you buy a used car “as is” you may be stuck with a lemon. Try to get a warranty on the vehicle you purchase as an added safety net.

The next tip before you buy a used car is to get your credit checked. If you are going to finance the vehicle, you better hope you don’t have any blemishes on your credit report. Used car dealers make more money when you finance a car. When you buy a used car, you want to be sure you get the best APR (annual percentage rate) available. If it is too high, then try getting your loan from a bank. They may provide you with a better rate so you may then buy a used car.

Hopefully, when you go to buy a used car you will have a pleasant experience. Not all used cars are bad and not all car dealers are sleezeballs. Alas, an awful lot of them are so be careful. With some street smarts and a little bit of patience, you can end up with an excellent used car that will last you many years.

by: Jakob Jelling

Learning how to change a tire can be one of the most useful things you could learn regarding your car. Having a flat tire in the middle of a route or on your way to an appointment can be a big problem if you do not know how to change it and have to wait for help, and therefore, it would be great if you can do it without having to wait for someone else.

In order to change a tire you should make sure you have parked your car at the side of the road and following all the safety rules that correspond to the case. You must apply the parking brake and place the shift in first gear. Then, you should look for the spare tire, the lug wrench and the jack. If you do not know where the spare tire is, you can look for it in the car owner’s manual.

Once you have found all you need, you should start by taking off the hubcap of the tire you wish to remove. You should do this with the help of a screwdriver or the end of the lug wrench. Then you should loosen the lug nuts with only one turn, do not completely loosen them until you have lifted the car.

Next you should lift the car with the jack. If you do not know how to do this, you can find instructions in your car owner’s manual on where to place the jack as well as the jack itself might bring some directions too. You should lift the car until the tire you wish to change is some inches away from the ground. Then finish removing the lug nuts and remove the tire.

Once you have removed the old tire, you should place the spare one in the correct place aligning the holes. Then, you should place the lug nuts and tighten them until they feel secure. Once you have done this, you must lower the car back to the ground and take the jack away from it. Then, you should have the flat tire repaired and change it back as soon as you can.

by: Harrison Hung

Most metropolitan areas have an abundance of tint shop choices. In the San Francisco, CA area alone, there are 30 different tint shops within a 30 mile radius. How does a discerning consumer choose the tint shop that does quality work? What is the difference between a “Dr. Tint” and a “Quality Window Tinting”?

We at TintCenter.com Window Tinting Guides suggest that you do a little research. First, compile a list of 5 potential tint shops that are likely to do good work. Ask your friends an co-workers who have tinted their cars which tint shops they chose, look in the Yellow Pages and mark down the tint shops with large professional advertisements, or come to TintCenter.com and get price quotes from a local tint shops.

Once you have this list in-hand, its time to interview each dealer:

How long have you been in business at this location? Do you have other shops in the area?Good tint shops prosper despite local competition by offering good service at reasonable prices. We suggest that you find a tint shop that has been in business for 5 or more years at the same location. This shows a stable business that will be there years down the road if somehow the tint goes bad.

Often times, successful tint shops open car tinting branches in neighboring cities. Although the installers of the branches may not be the master tinter of the bunch, since opening new shops means training new employees; however, branches are a sure sign of a successful tinting business.

What types of films do you carry? What warranty do you offer on your work?Quality tint shops carry complete lines of window film from one or multiple window film	manufacturers. They should carry dyed, hybrid, and metallic window films in a variety of colors and darknesses. Beware of tint shops that only carry one or two lines of film, and sells them aggressively. They may have acquired this film on sale, and may not be thinking of your unique requirements and concerns.

The warranty on the car tint varies depending on the window film you choose. TintCenter recommends that you install only window film backed with a lifetime warranty for materials and labor. Most films don’t guarantee color and fading, it is recommended that you also choose one that does.

For the warranty to take effect, remember to get only legal window tint for your car. Illegal tint can nullify any manufacturer’s warranty. When you purchase your tint, be sure sure you get a manufacturer’s warranty card from the dealer with the date, the window film used on each window, and the total cost	of installation as well as the receipt.

Can I visit your tint shop? Can you show me a sample of your work when I’m there?Tint shops can sound like the best shop on the phone, but 15 minutes on-site should tell you all you need to know.

Good dealers pay attention to customer service. They should be happy and willing to spend the time to talk to you and explain how their shops work. Remember, if they don’t spend time with you know, will they spend time with you when there is something wrong with your tint job?

A tint shop’s work area should be indoors and clean. Their tools and window films are organized in a professional manner. If the tint shop is outdoors or in a parking lot, this is a negative since it is critical to remove all dust and dirt from the windows before applying window film.

Now take a look at a car they have already tinted, and look at the rear window. Is the window film applied in a single piece or is it cut into strips that surround the defroster lines? The most skilled tint shops always apply film in a single piece. Now look at the borders of the rear window, in many cars there is a black ‘frit’ edge on the window, Make sure the window film looks securely attached to the frit as well.

Pay attention to side-windows. The window film should be applied to the inside and be completely flush against all 4 edges of the window. Now look at the window film itself. Don’t worry if the film itself looks slightly streaky and discolored, window film takes a couple weeks to dry out and become completely clear. If there are bubbles of air under the film or the film itself is not complete flat against the window, this is a sure sign of sloppy tinting.

Get price quotes from each dealer for the exact darkness, color, and type of window film you want. Never compromise because there are plenty of other dealers out there that will offer your perfect tint. With these price quotes and your research on each tint shop, make the decision. Refer to the cost of car tint article to help you rank the dealers.

After you make your decision, remember to always make an appointment with the tint shop before you tint your car. Even if they say “drop-ins accepted” or “bring it over any time”, you want you tinter to be calm and prepared for you when you arrive and not rushed. Tinting may take a couple hours to half a day, so either arrange a ride or go to a nearby coffee shop with a good book. Enjoy!

The Net is constantly growing and its users develop more and more applications and utilize it in completely new ways. Several years ago a couple of new sites showed up in the Net; these sites were dedicated to the sale of automotive vehicles. Since that time the number of these sites has substantially increased and I have participated in building search engine for used truck sale -European www.truck1st.com , American www.truck1st.us and Russian www.truck1st.ru. Basing on my experience in Internet used truck sales, I can offer you several recommendations on buying trucks and cars; I hope you’ll find them very useful.

The main goal of this kind of sites is to connect sellers and buyers of automotive vehicles, both new and used. Using such sites makes vehicle trade much easier for sellers as well as for buyers. These sites create virtual marketplace where buyers can offer their vehicles and sellers can look through the buyers’ stock. So the search for the customer or for specific vehicle becomes unnecessary, saving lots of time and money for both parties.

In practice it looks as follows. The seller places his vehicles at the website, usually it is vehicle description, pictures and additional info (price, delivery terms and contacts). See www.truck1st.com for specific examples. So when the buyer wants to buy a vehicle, he gets online, connects to the website and looks through the sellers’ vehicles. Then he gets in touch with the seller, confirms vehicle specification and availability and purchases the vehicles. Such internet trade allows to shop for vehicles located not only your vicinity, but nationwide and even worldwide. Sometimes it saves a lot of money and lets find exactly what you are looking for.

It is clear that the used car or truck technical condition is a crucial factor. When choosing used truck or car, the more choice you have – the better the chances that you will buy a vehicle in good technical condition. In this case Internet purchase is a very effective solution.

So let’s contact the seller and clear everything up. It is better done by phone, though email message is also acceptable. But you will save a lot of time by making simple phone call. Besides, the human factor in communication is very important, so pick up the phone and call him.
What should I mention during my first contact with the seller? Here is a list. But very important – write down everything the seller will say to you. Later, when you think everything over to make decision, you will appreciate it later.

So let’s contact the seller and clear everything up. It is better done by phone, though email message is also acceptable. But you will save a lot of time by making simple phone call. Besides, the human factor in communication is very important, so pick up the phone and call him.
What should I mention during my first contact with the seller? Important – write down everything the seller will say to you. Later, when you think everything over to make decision, you will appreciate it.

1. First of all represent yourself, name the reason of your call and website where you have found the truck. Ask if the vehicle is still available.

2. Let’s assume it is not sold yet. Then ask about every word in the description to check it is really true. It is much better if you spend 2 minutes of your time now, than to come to the buyer after and find out that there is no air conditioning, though it was mentioned at the website.

3. Ask about everything that was not described – minor technical problems, condition of engine, body, clutch, suspension, tyres, interior. Do not forget anything, you should have complete picture in your mind. For example, the cost of new tyres for tractor truck is about 200$ for a wheel and a lot of people usually forget to ask about tyre condition.

4. When it comes to price, do not be shy to argue a bit. Usually people put a little higher price that would actually satisfy them. Anyway a little of bargaining never harmed anyone.

It is much better for if you choose several vehicles and make several calls. You should not restrict yourself to a single truck, remember – the more choice you have, the better truck you will buy.

So by this time you should have called 3-4 sellers and have 3-4 papers with complete description at your table. Now its your time – relax and think everything over and make your final decision. Sometimes it is wise to call the sellers again and tell them that you have a little better offers – it will surprisingly move the prices down and help you make your final decision.

That’s it, now you are ready to go and pick up your new used truck. Just don’t forget to let your eyes see everything your ears heard – take the paper with vehicle description (that you have written down during your talk with the seller) and check everything. It is very advisable that you check the truck or car at the local service center – let professionals do their job.

And by the way, the last price is always fixed after final vehicle examination.

Backed by Honda’s exclusive Advanced Compatibility Engineering(TM) (ACE(TM)) body structure, the 2005 Honda Odyssey was the best choice from its segment in the recently concluded Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) frontal offset crash test.

The IHHS frontal crash tests have the front end of the vehicle hit a deformable barrier at 40 mph. When the vehicle is given a ‘good” rating, it means that its front-end structure is able to withstand and manage the crash leaving the occupant compartment largely intact with hardly an intrusion into the driver’s space reducing possible injury.

Reinforced frontal frame structures for the ACE body minimizes the probability for cabin intrusion and potential misalignment of the car’s energy absorbing safety structure in the event of a collision between vehicles of varied size and height.

The federal government’s top rating of Five Stars for both front-seating positions in the frontal impact test performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as a part of its New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) went also to the new 2005 Honda Odyssey.

To keep the company’s effort of ” Safety for Everyone” Honda Odyssey models is well equipped of the following safety features: dual-stage, dual-threshold driver’s and front passenger’s airbags, front side airbags with an Occupant Position Detection System, anti-lock brakes, side curtain airbag protection (with rollover sensor) for all three rows, Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control.

by: Mark Clarkson

Cars are undoubtedly one of our daily necessities. We use them not only for our everyday transportation but as well as in hauling loads, carrying cargoes and many others. Through the years, they have been greatly improved, Including Toyota cars. Not only in terms of performance, safety and style but as well as in terms of comfort features, just to catch up with our growing demands. Power operated auto parts became commonplace. Almost everything functions with just a push on a button.

Today, almost all cars come with an air conditioning system that keeps the driver and the passenger cabin comfortable even during the hottest days of the year. The introduction of the air conditioning and heat system was indeed a milestone in the auto industry. It afforded users the same comfort levels they enjoy at home or even at the office.

At the heart of this system is the Toyota AC Condenser. This part is the one in charge of dissipating heat absorbed from the car’s interior. It works on the same principle as the Toyota Radiator, which on the other hand cools the engine. Usually, the air flowing through the a/c condenser is supplemented by the Toyota Condenser Fan, Other vehicles, especially the rear wheel drives take advantage of the air drawn by the engine’s cooling fan. A faulty A/C system means great discomfort on your part so if your Toyota A/C system isn’t functioning due to damaged auto parts, make sure you replace the defective part or parts immediately to avoid inconveniences. Especially when you are using your car on long drives, replacing it is necessary. A long drive can be very tiring and annoying; but with an efficient A/C system you are sure to arrive at your destination more comfortably.

Of course, you can’t control the weather, the heavy traffic and all other factors that affect your comfortable ride but you can do something on your car to make it more conducive for any driving situation. Replacing your faulty A/C system parts with high quality replacement Toyota parts is a way to make your ride enjoyable.

For your A/C condenser needs, you can go to Toyota Parts Online. This auto parts store offers a wide variety of Toyota parts, including Toyota Headlights and Toyota Wheels. Purchasing new and high quality auto parts for your Toyota car can be more advantageous than buying Toyota Parts Used. Old and used parts are usually harder and more expensive to maintain and thus, they can drain your pockets in the long run.

Toyota Parts Online is a top Toyota Parts Discount dealer that caters to almost all your Toyota auto parts needs. Like Toyota Parts Used, parts available in this store are priced to fit your tight budget; however, when it comes to quality and performance, they are comparable to OEM parts.

Great Toyota Parts Discount deals are offered on old and new Toyota models like ,Toyota 4Runner Parts, Toyota Highlander Parts,Toyota Land Cruiser Parts, Toyota Corolla parts, Toyota Corona parts and a whole lot more.

by: Simon Harris

We always seem to make sure our cars are ready for the winter, right?

But what about during the summer? Believe it or not, the heat takes its toll on your car, too, so it’s important to keep your car serviced.

Periodic maintenance on your car will save you tremendous hassle in the long run. Your vehicle should last longer and command a higher resale price, too! I made it a point to get my car serviced according to the dealer’s schedule, and when I traded it in, I got far more than I expected due to the stellar condition of the engine.

Now I know this isn’t bedtime reading, but the owner’s manual can be your best friend – assuming you read it! At least take a look-through periodically. How about while you’re waiting to get your oil changed?

Follow the manufacturer’s recommended service schedules. This could save you a major breakdown.

Have the air conditioning system looked over by a qualified technician. A check up here can save you a huge bill later.

The greatest cause of summer breakdowns is overheating. Prevent this problem by making sure the cooling system is flushed and refilled as recommended.

Have your car’s belts, clamps, and hoses checked by a technician. This only takes a few minutes and is usually inexpensive.

Change your oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles or four times a year.

Replace air and fuel filters as recommended.

Get plenty of windshield washer solvent – we have a tendency to use a lot of this in the winter, so your fluids may be low.

Tires should be rotated every 5000 miles or so.

Check the spare tire to make sure it’s inflated properly. Also, make sure you have a jack along with it!

Transmission troubles equal money troubles equal emotional troubles! Have your transmission serviced periodically, and prevent big-time repair bills.

If you notice that your brakes are less efficient, get them checked out right away.

Have your battery checked periodically to see how much life it has left!

Inspect all lights and bulbs to make sure they’re working.

Carry a first aid kit, flares, jumper cables, a flashlight, and a cell phone.

There you go – a simple list to keep your car in great running shape. Remember, your car needs to be maintained and checked over even in the summer.

Taking care of your car takes only a few minutes each month, and pays you big dividends for the life of your vehicle!

For the recreational car hobbyist, there are few better places to buy parts than on eBay. Think of it like this: if an auto parts swap meet had a child with Godzilla then eBay Motors would be their offspring. Here are the reasons why the Internet is the best place to buy parts:

1. Convenience: Thanks to the Internet, people can buy things online when they want and where they want (at work, in the comfort of their home, wherever) and they don’t have to wait any longer for the first Saturday of the month when the swap meet happens.
2. Quality assurance: Which is better: car parts that can be had really, really cheap on eBay, and other such sites, or haggling over a part by some fast-talking guy who knows there’s something wrong with the part but won’t budge on price?
3. Lots of choice: You may not get the price you want at the swap meet, but you need the part, so you’re willing to spend a little more for it. The great thing about eBay is that you can pass on the stuff you don’t like because you know something similar will probably come along shortly.
4. Price: At the swap meet you can barter back and forth, but it involves some give and take on both sides. Neither of you end up with the dollar figure you want. On eBay, though, you can set your price. If you don’t get it at that price, you can revisit your bid, but if you ride the auction till the end and bid just a dollar over the last bid, you’ll have a great chance of winning the bid at a price you’ll be happy with.
5. Background check: EBay has a feedback rating which allows you to check up on how well the seller has lived up to their word. But at the swap meet, all you have to go on is your gut instinct when you’re face to face with the guy who’s trying to push his parts on you.
6. Pay any way: Many sellers on eBay, though PayPal, accept checks, money orders, and credit cards. At the swap meet you’re either exchanging parts or cash. Paying for parts with a credit card lets you put off the payment until it’s convenient for you.
7. Warranty: On eBay, you actually get a warranty when you buy products from them. The warranty is offered by eBay, and your credit card has a “chargeback” option, too, to protect you from getting ripped off. Was there a warranty at the last swap meet you were at?

EBay Motors is a great place to find cheap car parts. The prices and convenience is unbeatable. Forget those old swap meets, stay home, stay in your pajamas, and click for more convenience and savings.

How to obtain a motorcycle loan
If you want to get a loan for your motorcycle or refinance a current loan, follow our simple advice to get you back on the road. Never mind public opinion, obtaining a motorcycle loan can be a straightforward and easy process if you follow the correct procedure. The refinance company or motorcycle loan company can usually get back to you straight away to offer you their best interest rates. When you know what interest rates and repayments will be you can then calculate accordingly how much this will cost you. If you can afford this and think it is at a good rate then you have got another step underway. Check the terms and conditions to make sure there are no hidden costs or extra add ons. When you have found the best package to suit you, then you can send in your application online or over the phone. Even after the application is sent in, you do not have to commit to this. The company will make a customised package for you to work from. It is recommended to stay with you current company if the interest rates will not help you save money and reduce fees or penalties. Many people can usually obtain a secure interest rate if they refinance so it is always good to send applications in so you can compare different companies and find the best one for you.

Getting the best motorcycle loans rates
The number of months the loan is for, your credit report score, and the price you pay in total for the motorcycle are all factors that can determine the final rate of interest of your motorcycle loan. The company that may lend you the money will rank your credit history is the main criteria of your loan rate. The less you have to pay in interest rates the higher your credit score is. It is ideal to check your credit rating before you apply for a loan and make sure all information is correct or otherwise you may be paying a lot more than you should have to. The number of months you apply to pay of your loan could determine whether you pay more or less. The longer the months the more interest that will be paid. A motorcycle loan taken out for 6o months will have a lower monthly interest rate than a 36 months loan but the overall total for the 60 month loan will be larger. The price paid in total for your loan including dealer adds ons can also determine interest rates. When you research and know the value of your motorcycle you can stop yourself from overpaying the motorcycle loan payments. If you are buying a new motorcycle check the dealers invoice or price he paid for the motorcycle is before you head to the dealer. The best price is between the dealers price and the dealers invoice price. The dealer will always add money on so they can make a profit but it is far greater than the price they brought it for. Lowering the price of your motorcycle could mean lowering the repayments too.
When purchasing a used motorcycle from a local dealer be aware that the dealer will price the motorcycle at the highest value and this may include the cost of the dealer having the motorcycle reconditioned. Try to find a compromise with the dealer on what is a reasonable price for a bike in your area. The dealer has an asking price is always far more than they may have paid for it, as they like to make a heavy profit. Look around and check out all motorcycle dealers to find a deal that is best for you. When a dealer offers you an option that may be not necessarily needed, take account that this will add to the total value of the motorcycle and increase the repayments and interest rate. Some options that you may be asked to take are sales promotion fund, paint sealant, freight expense, assembly charge and dealer advertising association holdbacks. Compare the best deals that may include these options for the best deal for you. Some options can be removed for an even better price on your motorcycle.

Whether you’re shipping an expensive exotic car, a classic, an antique or a standard family car you can always count on successfully locating an excellent car transport company with an auto carrier package designed to fit your needs and budget.

There are several different types of car transport companies that cover a wide range of services including overseas shipping and international transport, transport of custom built automobiles, luxury cars, antique autos, exotic cars, and the familiar sedan. Car transport companies are usually listed under the following titles: car transport, vehicle shipping, and auto transport. When hiring a car transport company you have to consider some issues specific to vehicle transport, unlike your other possessions cars have some precise requirements like additional car insurance and vehicle inspection reports.

Be confident that the car transport company adequately insures your car. When investigating car transport companies you will want to find out the total cost first. Be prepared to provide the following information: origination/destination, departure date, and type of car. You will also want to consider what kind of car transport service you want. There are several options available with a wide variety of prices; for example door-to-door car transport, terminal-to-terminal, enclosed car transport, car carrier transport and rail service.

Some car transport companies may require payment in advance, while others will require a deposit. Ask for a contract clause that waives the cancellation fee if your car is not picked up by your auto shipping company within the time frame that you agree upon. If you terminate your contract within the allotted time period, expect to pay some fee. Occasionally it is difficult for a car transport company to certify a delivery date, however some car transport companies will offer a guarantee that covers a rental car if they cannot make the agreed delivery, find out the cost and the maximum dollars per day covered.

The car transport company should warn you of possible delays ahead of time. If you need an exact date for pick-up, most vehicle transport services can pick-up your car and hold it at a secure location for an additional charge.

Car transport companies use various methods to move your car long distances, such as flatbed truck, car carrier, enclosed trailer and other more customized options, like single enclosed trailer or two-car non-stacking enclosed trailers.

When you leave your car with a car transport company, be sure you receive an inspection report, this document supplies receiving and delivery information, current mileage, and details the condition of your car. Make sure to get everything in writing.

Remember it’s not the size of a company or how many trucks they have that makes them successful; it is the skill of the employees behind the equipment and their commitment to customer service. A great car transport company will have a group of trained professionals who will come to you with experience and unique knowledge of the inner workings of the auto transport business. Just knowing the basic facts about car transport will make finding the right company a guaranteed success.

by: Jakob Jelling

You car’s air filter is very important since it maintains some parts of your car system clean and free of dirt. If your air filter doesn’t work properly and dirt enters your car this might make it go through different problems, and therefore it is important that you check the filter and change it when necessary. Your mechanic can do it for you although it is very easy and you could do it yourself as well.

It is recommended that you change your car’s air filter once a year or every 15.000 miles if you live in an averagely dusty area. But, if you can check it once in a while and replace it as soon as it needs it this would be much better. Checking it is a very easy thing to do and replace it is not complicated once you learn how to do it.

If you wish to check your car’s air filter yourself and in an easy way, you can do so by using a light from inside pointing outside and check how bright it looks through it. If you see the light clearly, then your air filter is still good, but if you can’t see much of the light then it indicates the filter needs to be changed.

Newer cars have different air filters than older ones. If your car is rather new, its air filter is probably rectangular and you might find it located under the hood, near the radiator area or the fender wells. In order to change it, you must open it and take the actual air filter from it, replacing it by the new and then closing it again.

If your car is older, then the air filter will probably be of a big round shape and located near the engine area. It might probably be screwed, and all you might need to do is to unscrew the cover, let the air filter come out, and place the new one instead of it. You must pay attention in case it has any other attachment mechanisms such as clips which you would need to take off as well.

by: Ken Marlborough

Since the market for Tonneau covers is so large, it is possible to find great deals on a wide selection of models. Several manufacturers must compete with each other, making better products and selling them for less than their competitors. Companies must undersell each other to stay in business. Seasonal sales, sales of particular brands or models, and discount sellers are three ways for buyers to save money. Discount Tonneau covers of all types can often be purchased for hundreds of dollars less than their ordinary retail prices.

Many online retailers offer seasonal sales in order to unload old products to make room for new ones. These sales apply to most models carried by any given seller. Another reason for seasonal sales is to capitalize on buying trends. For example, assuming more people buy Tonneau covers during the summer, it is a good idea for sellers to offer good deals at that time to attract the increased number of potential buyers.

Consumers can find discount Tonneau covers by searching for particular brands as well. As with retailers, manufacturers want to unload old products to make room for the year’s new models. Buyers can purchase discount Tonneau Covers directly from the makers or they can search stores and online sellers for good deals on the brands they are looking for.

Some websites and stores always sell items at hugely discounted prices year round. There is a chance that the selection may not be as extensive as other stores, but committed bargain hunters will likely find something that will fit their needs.

These are some of the options for finding discount Tonneau covers. It is also possible to buy a used Tonneau cover, which can be purchased online or through local classified ads. When purchasing anything used, it is important to know the quality and condition of the product before buying it. However you choose to research the market, there are many options to make buying a Tonneau cover more affordable.

by: Steve Li

To buy a used car is a great idea for saving money. Everyone knows that a new car lost 65% of its value in the first 5 years. But the case would be more extreme for a 1 to 2 years old car, it will lost its value 30-40%.

If you don¡¦t mind to drive a used car (I mean a 2 to 5 years old car, it looks pretty new) rather than a new car, you may save much money to pay many other bills. If you want to keep the car not too old, you may resell it after driving for 2 to 3 years and buy another newer one. The value of the car will only drop 15% or less for a 5 years old car. Therefore, your driving cost for 2-3 years would only be 10-15% of the car¡¦s original value.

The price quote above was only the price you buy from an ordinary car dealer. However, you can buy it much cheaper through some special channel.
Have you ever heard that around the country, hundreds of thousands of vehicles get repossessed by various institutions ranging from banks to US Customs, and everyone of those cars is going to be sold at an auction, online or traditional. Usually, before, only car dealers with a special license could benefit from these incredible savings, however, with a membership at some special organization, you can join the ranks of the lucky ones and find bargains that you could only dream of. Almost nothing will be out of your range as a member of this site - you will be able to get a car you always wanted but could not afford to spend so much money on.

By the way, many people may ask why wouldn’t everyone buy a car this way, instead of the usual going to the dealer or classified ads routine? The secret is : because this is a very protected source of revenue for the majority of car dealerships and is not advertised to the general public. But, if you are a member you can have access rights to the direct source and buy your vehicle with up to 90% savings off the book value price.

In conclusion, buy a used car through a special organization can help you save up to 90% off the book value. You can keep the car pretty new according to the strategy I suggested. So enjoy a pretty new car with an affordable price.

Car buying is not a task to be taken lightly. The cost of a new car equals almost what my parents paid for their first home. It’s imperative to do behind the scenes research to ensure you get a great deal.

Do not be in a hurry. Car dealers can detect the scent of desperation a mile away! If you are totally without transportation, rent a vehicle until you find the right car. If you rush your purchase, you will usually end up on the bad end of the deal.

You can uncover the typical retail cost of a specific make and model right on the internet. With a little extra research, you can discover the wholesale cost as well. These two pieces of information give you an edge when it comes to negotiation.

It’s best to work toward a win-win situation with the car salesperson. They need to make some money on the deal, and you want to pay a fair price. You can often negotiate a price that is $500 above dealer cost, or about 20% off the sticker price. Make sure you take your calculator with you when car hunting.

You can often order a car with *custom* option choices. This could save you hundreds of dollars. You might wait a couple of weeks, but why pay for options that you do not need?

Always check with the dealership to see if you can return the car if you do not like it. Many dealerships now offer this option. Some dealerships will give you a three day trial period in which to try the car.

It is a good idea to wait until the end of the month to go car hunting. Salespersons who want to meet a certain quota will be eager to strike a deal.

Knowing the value of your old car makes it easier to negotiate a better price for it. Try not to talk about a trade-in possibility until you get a purchase price. Sometimes this is difficult, as most salespeople will ask upfront about a trade in.

I took my car to one lot, and was told the trade in value was $1,200. Another dealership said they would give me $3,500 for the same car! So do your research to make sure you receive a fair price on your used vehicle. Stick to your guns when it comes to getting the value of your trade-in, especially if you’ve had your car serviced regularly.

A service contract will likely be brought into the negotiation. Most consumer information shows no need to buy an extra contract on a new car, as it’s not likely a problem will occur during the first months of use.

Whatever you do, always read the fine print of any contract before signing it. Ask questions about what certain phrases mean if and when you do not understand something.

Also, just because a car is brand new doesn’t mean you should buy it without asking questions. New cars can land in the lemon category as well as used ones. Keep on your toes during the negotiation process. You will enjoy both getting a new car, AND creating a win-win situation for yourself and the dealer.

First, it is not advisable to replace original auto wheels with smaller diameter wheels. Larger diameter wheels may be used, however, with low profile tires to retain the original tire diameter while improving the car’s looks and handling abilities.

Proper wheel width should also be considered in buying your new car wheels, SUV wheels, off road wheels, truck wheels, luxury wheels or custom car wheels. Ideally, the width of the wheel should be the same with that of the tire’s tread so as to produce vertical tire sidewalls for excellent tire support and extended tread life. Proper offset and backspacing are also important considerations in buying wheels, so as to ensure perfect fit to your vehicle. Offset refers to the distance between the wheel’s mounting surface to the car and the center of the rim.

The 2005 Honda Pilot features an advanced 3.5-liter, SOHC, 24-valve, 60-degree, and V-6 engine, aluminum-block-and-head design that is compact, light and powerful. It has 255 horsepower (+15 horsepower), 250 lb.-ft of torque (+8 lb.-ft.), very low emissions, high fuel efficiency and instantaneous throttle response. The 2005 Honda Pilot replaced the Passport and it shares the same basic chassis and powertrain as the MDX. The three Pilot models all offer a V6, 255-horsepower engine paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission.

The new Honda engine features a broad and flat torque curve, very low emissions and high fuel economy. The new drive-by-wire throttle replaces a conventional throttle cable with an all-electronic system that relays throttle pedal position to the engine computer. The new system reduces overall weight by incorporating the cruise control system and reduces shift shock by communicating with the transmission during up- and down-shifts.

The more powerful engine is coupled with an innovative drive-by-wire throttle system, which reduces overall weight by incorporating the cruise control function, and helps to reduce shift shock by communicating with the transmission during up and down shifts. The Pilot DBW system replaces a conventional throttle cable arrangement with an all-electronic system that senses the accelerator pedal position and relays that information to a computer.

List of standard features include tilt steering wheel, cruise control, 60/40 split folding second and third seats, power mirrors, windows and doors locks, remote keyless entry and AM/FM/CD player, among other items. The EX and EX-L models include a six-disc changer, steering wheel radio controls, automatic-off headlights and allow wheels. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, power sunroof and heated power mirrors are standard on the EX-L model only.

The Pilot uses an advanced four-wheel drive system called Variable Torque Management 4WD VTM-4. VTM-4 is a proactive system that combines the best features of modern on-demand and conventional four-wheel drive systems.

It has an eight-passenger seating capacity with 60/40-split second and third row bench seats that fold flat for segment-leading cabin flexibility for hauling people and/or cargo.

Safety features include dual front airbags, four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock, side impact door beams, electronic brake distribution system, tire pressure monitoring system, immobilizer theft deterrent system, remote keyless entry and traction control. EX adds alarm system, garage door opener and auto-off headlamp control. EX w/leather adds brake assist and vehicle stability assist. Optional safety features include navigation system.

Performance, versatility and reliability sums up the Honda Pilot 2005 and Partstrain sees to it that these qualities are maintained to the highest level through its superior Honda Performance parts, Aftermarket parts, OEM Replacement parts.

Parts train’s product line-up for Honda vehicles includes Engine system, Electrical system, Header, Exhaust, Hoods, Hubcaps, multiple Body Kit designs, Suspension, Condensers, Bumpers, Radiator Support, Spoiler, Catalytic Converter, and a variety of additional upgrades that compliment the car.

by: Stuart Simpson

When upgrading your Honda Civic, there are three basic things most people would like to do to gain performance, style, and looks. The first is a body kit. Next, most people want to add personalization to the interior. Last, we want to talk about engine modifications. These upgrades you may want to do in any particular order, depending on your personality. I started with my engine. I want my car to be a “sleeper”. When I add a body kit, then I’ll have the muscle to back it up. But it all depends on you. Let’s start with the body kit for your Honda Civic.

If you have a pre-1988 Honda Civic, body kits were made, but they are hard to find. There really wasn’t much of an internet, so the market was limited to larger cities or Japan. Today, you could search for a used Mugen kit and probably find one on the internet. For later Civics, there are a couple of good choices. Stillen and Greddy offer quality components. When purchasing bargain components, remember you may have to modify the kit for proper alignment. For example, the exhaust may not be exactly in the right spot. Rework time to your Civic may end up costing you as much as a higher quality kit. I’ve looked at the kits you can buy a piece at a time due to my budget. Adding the front air dam to keep the car on the ground, side skirts and a rear valance all at once can be a little imposing on the pocketbook.

Interior modifications may not impress anyone as you drive down the street, but if the car looks good on the outside, you’ll want that Civic sharp on the inside. A torn seat or other imperfections are a good place to start. Most people start with the radio. But if you have a newer Civic or Accord and the radio is already pretty good, what can you do to add your own style? Add some gauges. You can add a pillar mount gauges the A-frame that supports the roof. A company called Lotek makes nice gauge pods.

When you add the gauges, now you have interior style and you can keep better check on your motor instead of relying on a red warning light. The first thing to do is get a free flowing intake. Not only do these look good in the engine compartment, but also they help the car breath better. There are several to choose from, but I’m biased towards K & N Products. They fit perfectly and are completely washable. Be warned, you can here the engine breathing when you hit the gas! It’s so cool!

I hope these gave you a good starting point on what you can do with your Honda Civic, Accord, or Prelude. Personalizing your car makes it your car, not just another Honda.

An old dictum says, “Form follows function.” Since this idea has been conceptualized in the late 19th century, it has become a basic rule among designers, whatever field they may be into. Auto designers follow this simple philosophy as well; thus, fast and high performance sports cars have aerodynamic body and Sport Utilities and other off-road vehicles have muscular and robust appearance and hard wearing auto parts. These vehicles’ exterior and components are designed according to the driving activities for which they are fitted and used. Some auto parts have more than one function. Among these is the grill or grille - Ford Parts for your vehicle. This part is designed not only to perform a task crucial to the car’s performance but it is designed to add style and aesthetic refinement to the vehicle, too. While the form of the Ford Grilles follows its function, it includes the element of style. In effect, it doesn’t only enhance the performance but also, the car’s looks and over-all appeal. The grille serves as an opening to the front end of the vehicle; thus, it has holes through which the air passes. As it allows air to pass, the grill helps in cooling the engine and of course, in improving its performance; thus, its use cannot be simply disregarded. The grille is connected to the shroud of the radiator so it also called as the radiator grille or the radiator air inlet. From the grille, the air goes directly to the radiator and to the engine. A car without a grille in front would not be beautiful to behold and so a grilles is also used to conceal parts under the hood that can be seen through the hole where it is placed. For added style, most grilles are mounted with a metal or plastic insert. If you want your old Ford to look more luxurious and sophisticated, you can choose to get a new shiny billet aluminum grill insert or if you want to achieve a monochromatic effect, you can get a plastic grill insert whose color matches the body of your car. Replacing your grille and other exterior auto parts could be a perfect way to restyle and customize your vehicle and make it stand out from the rest of the cars on the road. If you want to know more about a car grille and other restyling auto parts and accessories, you can check Auto Parts Inner, one of the leading replacement Auto Parts sources online.
An extended warranty is a contract between you and a service provider. Many people purchase extended auto warranties to shield themselves against the costs resulting from mechanical breakdown or failure to their vehicle. The extent of coverage, benefits, and terms of payment are particular to each individual contract. An auto extended warranty give you’re the right level of coverage. Although the main advantage of obtaining a car warranty is to avoid high costs of automobile repairs, many plans come with additional benefits.

You can buy warranties that are specific to the manufacturers. For example, you can buy a GM extended warranty. All GM cars and trucks have a full manufacturer’s warranty for a term of 3 years and 36,000 Miles. The GM Warranty is transferable at no cost to an unlimited number of owners. Roadside assistance is also provided during the basic warranty period. If you want more protection than this, you can get a GM extended warranty that covers your vehicle after the manufacturer’s full warranty ends up to 100,000 miles if you choose.

A GM extended warranty covers almost every major component on the vehicle. Usually, a GM extended warranty will also include roadside assistance and rental vehicles. Another feature on a GM extended warranty is that it begins the day you purchase it, not from the original in-service date. This means you get use of the GM extended warranty for the full term represented. A GM extended warranty can be used at any GM dealership or licensed repair garage.

A GM extended warranty provides you with comprehensive coverage that gives you the peace-of-mind when driving a GM. You don’t have to worry about your GM vehicle if your original warranty is up. Say you are driving your GM for four years, it overheats, and your original, 3-year warranty is up. If you have a GM extended warranty, it’s not a problem! Just take your vehicle to a GM dealer or a GM-licensed repair garage, and your car will be worked on and fixed under warranty.

The small cost for this added benefit is nothing compared to the peace-of-mind you will have knowing your vehicle is covered.

(ARA) - As excited consumers buy 2004 model vehicles in the coming months, one of the first things they want from their pride-and-joys is better sound.

And one of the last things they want is to engage in a complicated overhaul of the dashboard area of their new cars.

Here’s good news — the days of that trade-off are long gone. With add-ons such as satellite radio, a multi-disc CD changer, or mobile video, even factory stereos are primed for dramatically improved entertainment options and sound quality.

“The good news is that you don’t have to dismantle your sound system if you want more than your in-dash receiver can offer,” said Dan Hodgson, vice president for business development at Crutchfield Corporation, the leading Internet and catalog retailer of consumer electronics.

“These products are ideal if you want to keep your factory radio, drive a leased vehicle, or just don’t want the hassle of a complicated installation,” Hodgson said.

Adding satellite radio

One of the most popular additions to factory systems is satellite radio, and little wonder why. Once you’v
